As you step inside Bangkok’s Renaissance Ratchaprasong Hotel, you feel the sultry allure that epitomizes this great country. Everything you heard about Thailand, from the beaches of Phuket, to the exotic flavorful foods, and the wondrous temples of Ayutthaya, the Renaissance feels like Thailand.
The rooms, with the voyeur window bathrooms and soft beds, oozes with sexiness. The dark purple hues relaxes your senses to escape bustling Bangkok life. The large rooms with the high ceilings will never make you feel cramped.
The restaurants and lounges, provide more than adequate services. The R Bar, the 1st floor lounge, doesn’t feel like a regular hotel bar. La Tavola serves up Italian fare in a setting perfect for private events. Our morning buffet breakfast at Flavors offered many Western and Asian choices.
But I believe the 23rd floor is where the Renaissance makes its mark. The splendid views from this vantage is where the pool, spa, and fitness gym are situated. The double story room, with supporting open air columns, provide a permanent cool breeze. I doubt many people could get a full workout with these great views.
Located in the busy Ratchaprasong district, the Renaissance outclasses some of the other prestigious hotels in the area, Intercontinental and Four Seasons. For the value and comfort, I’d pick and recommend the Renaissance to anyone going to Bangkok.
