What is Mr Willis?
Situated on Anfu road in Shanghai, Mr Willis is a western restaurant. Anfu road is known for the little eateries and shops. Lots of expats and foreigners frequent this area. Yet, Mr Willis is a favorite among the locals. I finally made a visit with some friends and found it repeatable and appetizing.
What did the Pig devour?
We had the Suckling pig, Anne’s little onions braised with raisins – 165 RMB, the Mr Willis Roast Chicken – provencal pumpkin gratin, roasting jus – half chicken, Grilled Salmon, carrots & cumin puree – 152 RMB, Risotto: mushrooms, porcini, truffel – 168 RMB, and Artichokes, truffled mushrooms, white bean, and arugula. I think the star of the night was the suckling pig. The tender pork was tender and juicy with the contrasting crunchy skin. Yummy! The chicken was surprisingly good, as well. I didn’t expect it to be all that good. Everything else was adequate or more than. . .
One More Thing!
Mr Willis is a decent restaurant that I would put up with Madison. I can’t put it in the same class as Goga, but it is quite close.

The Suckling Pig looks awesome! Love the addition of raisins in that dish.
